Grizzly Adams meets Jackie Chan in “The Foreigner”

Due in cinemas towards the end of the year this looks to be a real bit of a lark for those fans of martial arts, CGI and over the top acting. Jackie Chan is a London businessman whose daughter gets killed in an IRA bomb attack and when the police fail to apprehend  those responsible takes matters into his own hands. Pierce Brosnan, a reformed Irish terrorist now working for the British Government, is targeted by Chan as somebody who must be able to lead him to his daughters killers…..

“Carboard Gangsters” hits Irish Cinemas from the 16th June 2017

Is it fiction or a fly on the wall documentary about Dublin low-life scum? All I know is that I won’t be parting with cash to see yet another movie about life in the Third World – in this case Darndale – and if I want this sort of ‘entertainment‘ I’ll just flick on the radio news. Apparently there’s some good acting in it, but judging from the trailer it looks more like a documentary.
