Never a big fan of soaps – especially Eastenders – I have nonetheless been looking forward to this one as it was largely shot down the road from me in Dunmore East, Co.Waterford.

Redwater tells the story of what happens when EastEnders’ stalwarts Kat and Alfie Moon visit the Kellys and Dolans in the fictional Irish village of Redwater in search of Kat’s long-lost son.

The ‘not a spin-off‘ from Eastenders six-part series stars two of the most likeable stars from the soap – Shane Richie (Alfie) and Jessie Wallace (Kat). According to Richie it’s “Broadchurch meets The Wicker Man“…time will tell and hopefully it will be better than the woeful trailer below.
